Words have a force of their own, a life and a potential generated by their meaning and by the imaginary world they are referred to, and this power can be enlarged by the interaction with other specific terms. When "Moon" meets "Apollo" it's almost impossible not to be brought into the most astonishing adventure of mankind: the race to the Moon, the early space missions, the competition between USA and URSS and the incredible and fascinating technological challenge faced back in those days. This is the background from which "The LEM Tales" emerges, the first work produced by the collaboration between the beat-maker and bass player Moonbrew and the organist and keyboard player Paolo Apollo Negri. Two words, two worlds blended together to get new meanings: hip hop meets funk, pop merges with jazz, the old school aptitude enhanced by new sonic possibilities, the urban sound hurled into space. From tons of organs, synthesizers, electric pianos and samplers the four tracks of this first chapter of "The LEM Tales" take form.
